The win was the 23rd Grand Slam tournament win for Serena Williams, and it marked the seventh time in her career she was won the Australian Open. The sisters have met in Grand Slam finals nine times, and Serena has won seven of those nine titles.
Serena Williams has a 17-11 mark against her older sister and has dominated the Grand Slam matches 10-5.
